Resident Evil: Outbreak is a survival horror video game developed and released by Capcom in 2003 for the PlayStation 2 console. This game presents a unique take on the popular Resident Evil franchise by offering cooperative multiplayer for up to four players online - a first for the series.

Outbreak takes place during the same incident that happened in the original "Resident Evil" and "Resident Evil 2," but follows eight ordinary citizens of Raccoon City as they attempt to survive the zombie apocalypse. Each of these characters has their own unique abilities and perks, adding an element of strategy when choosing a character for each mission.

The game features five different scenarios, each with its own location and objective. Players must work together to survive, solve puzzles, fight enemies and find ways to escape the city. The game also incorporates traditional Resident Evil elements such as limited inventory space, health items, and different types of weapons.
