PS2 Rayman revolution

In Rayman Revolution on the PS2, unlike Rayman 2, where levels were entered through a linear selection screen such as the Hall of Doors, levels in Rayman Revolution are entered through three new central worlds - Minisaurus Plain, Globox's House and Rainbow Creek, collectively known as Front. These areas allow for free movement, making Revolution a much less linear game than previous versions. New cutscenes and dialogue have been added to give the player a more complete picture of the story. In addition, new characters are introduced, such as Bzzit, and Rayman can acquire new powers, items and abilities, such as those he can buy with yellow lums collected in the Magic Well, similar to a typical item shop.

Characters such as Fairy Ly, Clark and Teensies appear much more frequently in this version. Ly boosts Rayman's health by offering him minigames, which include Walks of Life and Power and a roller coaster segment that was previously in Top of the World, in exchange for freeing the Familiar Spirits, new spiritual beings who are trapped in cages by Robo-Pirates. Meanwhile, Teensie hosts the Teensie Circles, teleportation hubs that replace the Hall of Doors and allow Rayman to return to places he has already visited.
