Dead Island: Riptide is the sequel to the successful zombie survival game Dead Island, returning with new challenges and horror moments on a deserted island. Developed by Techland and released by Deep Silver in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows, the game takes players to the island of Palanai, which is part of the same archipelago as the original Banoi location. The story picks up immediately after the events of the first installment, with a group of survivors trying to escape the infected island, only to find themselves in another, even more dangerous location filled with bloodthirsty zombies.

The gameplay of "Dead Island: Riptide" continues in the tradition of its predecessor, combining elements of action games, RPGs and survival horror. Players can choose from several characters, each with their own special abilities, and must fight for survival in a hostile environment filled with dangerous zombies. The game emphasizes cooperative multiplayer, where players can join forces with others to face hordes of enemies and complete various tasks.
