Resistance 2 is an action sci-fi shooter developed by Insomniac Games and released for the PlayStation 3 game console. The game is the sequel to the successful first title, Resistance: Fall of Man, and is the second part of the Resistance trilogy.

The game is set in an alternate history 20th century where Earth has been invaded by an alien race known as the Chimera. The player assumes the role of Nathan Hale, an American soldier who is infected by the Chimera, but also gains supernatural abilities that help him fight the invasion.

Resistance 2 features an extensive singleplayer campaign in which the player experiences various missions and battles in different locations around the world. The game features dynamic environments with destructible environments, allowing players to gain a strategic advantage by destroying buildings or enemy cover. The campaign is set in diverse environments, including bustling urban areas, rural villages, forests and underground complexes.

The game also offers a multiplayer mode that allows players to join forces with other players and work together to complete various tasks. The multiplayer mode supports up to 60 players at a time and offers a variety of game modes, including team deathmatch, cooperative mode and map exploration.
