DualShock 3 is Sony's third-generation game controller for PlayStation 3. It is the successor to the DualShock 2 controller that was designed for PlayStation 2. DualShock 3 was launched in 2007 and brought several improvements and new features over its predecessor.

Key features of DualShock 3 include:

Wireless connectivity: unlike DualShock 2, which was wired, DualShock 3 uses Bluetooth to connect wirelessly to PlayStation 3. This allows gamers to more conveniently control games without the constraints of a cable.
