PS3 Arcania: The Complete Tale

Arcania: The Complete Tale for PlayStation 3 is an action fantasy RPG set in the world of the popular Gothic series. Players take on the role of a nameless hero who is thrown into political intrigue, power struggles and dark magic. The game offers an open world in which players explore cities, villages, dungeons and wilderness, complete quests, collect items and fight a variety of enemies. This edition also includes the Fall of Setarrif expansion pack, which expands the main story and introduces new locations and characters.

Compared to previous instalments in the series, Arcania focuses on simpler controls, a more accessible combat system and a more linear story, making it a suitable title even for newcomers to the RPG genre. Graphically, the game looks a bit outdated on PS3, but the atmospheric environment and music still manage to draw you in. Although hardcore fans of the Gothic series may miss the depth and complexity, Arcania: The Complete Tale still offers a solid fantasy adventure with dozens of hours of content.
