Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty for PlayStation 3 is a shorter action platformer and a direct sequel to Tools of Destruction. As Ratchet, you and Talwyn embark on an adventure across pirate islands and caves to find clues that will lead you to Clank, who has been kidnapped by the mysterious Zoni race. The game combines the classic action gameplay of the series with new elements, such as the use of the improved OmniWrench to manipulate objects and open paths. Combat is a bit more limited, as there is a smaller selection of weapons than in the main games, but iconic pieces such as the Combuster and Tornado Launcher are still present.

Graphically, Quest for Booty is one of the most impressive titles of its time, offering detailed environments, impressive lighting, and smooth animation, making it feel like an interactive animated film. The atmosphere is complemented by humorous dialogue and charismatic pirate opponents, including Rusty Pit.
