Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is an action platformer and the first installment in the Ratchet & Clank series on PlayStation 3. The game was developed by Insomniac Games and released in 2007. It offers a combination of action, platforming jumps, puzzle solving and a huge arsenal of weapons, which are iconic elements of the series.

Story by

The game begins with an attack by a robot army on the planet Kerwan, where Ratchet and Clank learn that Emperor Tachyon, leader of the Cragmites, wants to exterminate Ratchet's race, the Lombax. The heroes embark on a cross-galactic adventure to uncover the secrets of the Lombax and stop Tachyon's plan.

A vast arsenal of weapons - futuristic weapons like the Groovitron (makes enemies dance), Tornado Launcher and Shock Ravager.

Galaxy Exploration - Visit diverse planets with unique environments, puzzles and missions.

A combination of action and platforming - jumping, dueling and logic challenges in the traditional Ratchet & Clank style.

Utilizing the SIXAXIS controller - some weapons and minigames utilize DualShock 3 motion controls.
