Robinson: The Journey is a futuristic VR exploration game set on a distant planet. The Esmeralda space station, which was sent to colonize the planet Tyson III, crashes in orbit, and a young boy named Robin survives and makes his way to the surface. The game picks up more than a year later, when Robin has already settled into his new home. He has built a base camp around his escape pod and has companions: HIGS, a floating sphere that was once one of the ship’s artificial intelligence units, and his pet dinosaur, Laika. The planet is inhabited by dinosaurs as apex predators. Robin has access to food and energy, and the barrier must keep the dinosaurs at bay, but he wants to explore, discover the planet’s flora and fauna, and find out if other humans have survived.
