TACTICAL GUERRILLA WARFARE

New game systems will offer more flexible tactics during combat. The location you are in will become a determinant of the shape of the surrounding environment. Ambush your enemies, pick over their corpses to gain valuable equipment and artifacts, rescue important people and save your comrades.

EXPLORE, EVOLVE AND UPGRADE

Customize and build new rooms on Avenger to gain new battlefield capabilities for XCOM. Use your scientists and engineers to research, develop and refine weapons and armor to best achieve your strategy.

EACH MISSION IS A UNIQUE CHALLENGE

Embark on missions across the world, from wild lands to alien-dominated cities. A huge variety of map, mission and objective combinations are on offer.
