World War Z: Aftermath is an expansion version of the original World War Z, specially adapted and expanded for next-generation consoles, including PlayStation 5. Inspired by the film and book of the same name, this cooperative third-person shooter offers players an intense experience as they battle hordes of zombies.

The game expands the original experience with new missions, characters and locations. New additions include missions in cities like Rome and Kamchatka, where players must face not only endless waves of zombies, but also new types of undead enemies and environmental pitfalls.

Aftermath also adds a new melee combat system where players can use different types of weapons for personal combat such as axes, chainsaws and more. This new feature adds a new dimension to the game and allows players more tactical options when clearing areas of enemies.
