Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City is a stand-alone expansion for Grand Theft Auto IV that includes two stand-alone episodes that do not require the original game to play. The game was released for Xbox 360 in October 2009 and later for other platforms.
The first episode is called "The Lost and Damned" and tells the story of Johnny Klebitz, a member of a biker gang called The Lost, who struggles to keep his gang together despite internal strife and external pressure from rival gangs and corrupt cops.
The second episode is called "The Ballad of Gay Tony" where you play as Luis Lopez, the bodyguard and business partner of Tony Prince, also known as Gay Tony, who owns two nightclubs in Liberty City. This part focuses on nightlife and extravagance, contrasting the grim and realistic tone of "The Lost and Damned".
Both episodes expand the gameplay and world of Grand Theft Auto IV, adding new weapons, vehicles, music tracks, radio stations and many other elements, while maintaining the same open world and detailed setting of Liberty City. The many characters and story lines intertwine and intertwine with the original Grand Theft Auto IV gameplay, creating the expansive, complex and vibrant world that is typical of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
