Set in an inhospitable and brutal environment, Medal of Honor seeks to reveal the mission of an elite American soldier, known in the US military as a Trier 1 Operator. This is the absolute elite of the US Army, who, under the direct command of the National Command Authority, carry out strategic missions of the highest priority. Against the backdrop of current military operations, the game will show in detail his will, mindset and uncompromising professionalism.

Tier 1

This relatively unknown entity, which operates only under the direct command of the National Command Authority (NCA)*, is made up of a carefully selected group of soldiers and is called upon for operations of the highest importance where failure is simply not an option.

Over 2 million soldiers, sailors and airmen wear the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces. Of these, approximately 50,000 fall under the command of special (unconventional) forces. However, members of the so-called Tier 1 are ranked even higher and more independently than the top Special Forces. Their exact number is subject to secrecy, but does not exceed a few hundred. They are the living surgical instruments of contemporary warfare, the true grandmasters of the application of violent means.

It is this military super-elite that inspires the new Medal Of Honor. The player will take on the role of these warriors as they fight the enemy on the most challenging and dangerous battlefields of today's Afghanistan. * National Command Authority is the established term for the collective of the highest lawful command of the US armed forces. In other words, Tier 1s receive only direct orders from the President and Secretary of Defense of the United States.
