It's been a few years since the Wilamette disaster, and Dead Rising 2 takes the action from the ordinary life of the Midwest to the glittering world of Fortune City, America's newest and largest entertainment hub. People flock to Fortune from all over the world to escape reality for a chance to win big, and for some, it's a chance to compete in a competition called Terror is Reality.

Like millions of other Americans, former national motocross champion Chuck Green is consumed by the new TV sensation Terror is Reality. The show is hosted by Tyrone King and the principle is simple, there are pits full of zombies and you need to kill more of them than your opponent and stay alive. This could earn you a huge grand prize.

The new hero, Chuck Green, is just the beginning of a long list of new characters, new survivors, and new even bigger freaks than have ever been introduced to fans in the world of Dead Rising. To complete the TV show, you can play with up to four other players and together you can shoot pits full of zombies and compete against other users in multiplayer. The undead, which are absolutely everywhere, create a real challenge for players. He will have to create weapons and kill in large numbers at once.

Co-op is introduced for the first time in the world of Dead Rising and as a player you can invite your friends to a zombie massacre in tag team style. Play with friends and have even more fun slaughtering zombies by using strategic tools like the explosive helicopter model.
