Game of the Year edition includes all the datadisks released so far, i.e. Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta. And of course the base game Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 is the sequel to the successful Fallout RPG series. It was first developed by Black Isle Studios, which was also the creator of the previous two installments, under the codename Van Buren, but this company was owned by Interplay Entertainment, which went bankrupt and sold the rights to the game to Bethesda Softworks, the company behind, for example, the highly successful Elder Scrolls series. This company began work on Fallout 3 in July 2004, but major development was put on hold until The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released.
