XBOX 360 Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for Xbox 360 brings the popular world of Plants vs. Zombies into a whole new genre. Instead of the classic tower defence strategy, it offers a third-person action shooter in which teams of armed plants and zombies face off against each other.

The game was developed by PopCap Games, which has retained the characteristic humour, colourful graphics and familiar characters of the original series, whilst combining them with fast-paced team battles.

🌻 Plants vs. Zombies

Players can choose to play as either the Plants or the Zombies, with each side offering several distinct playable classes.

On the Plants’ side, for example, there’s the Peashooter, a versatile fighter capable of moving quickly and firing peas. The Sunflower supports teammates by healing them, the Chomper can attack zombies at close quarters, and the Cactus is particularly suited to long-range combat.

The Zombies have their own specialised characters. The Foot Soldier is a classic soldier, the Engineer uses technical equipment, the Scientist combines powerful attacks with support abilities, and the All-Star relies on high durability and heavy armament.

🔫 Team-based shooter

Each class has its own weapons, abilities and role within the team. Success therefore depends not only on accurate shooting, but also on effectively combining the abilities of individual characters.

Garden Warfare is heavily focused on multiplayer battles and offers several game modes with different objectives.

🪴 Gardens & Graveyards

One of the main modes is Gardens & Graveyards, in which the plants defend their gardens against an advancing army of zombies. The attacking team, on the other hand, attempts to gradually capture individual areas of the map.

Another mode is Team Vanquish, based on classic team combat, in which the side that reaches the required number of eliminations first wins.

🧟 Garden Ops

In Garden Ops mode, a group of plants defends against successive waves of computer-controlled zombies. Players must work together, utilising their characters’ abilities, to defend the garden against increasingly dangerous opponents.

As well as standard zombies, stronger enemies and bosses may also appear, meaning that each wave gradually increases in difficulty.

🎩 Character customisation

Whilst playing, you can collect various items and options for customising your characters’ appearance. Both plants and zombies can thus acquire all sorts of hats, glasses and other crazy accessories that match the humorous style of the entire series.

Garden Warfare retains the visual style of the original Plants vs. Zombies, but translates it into a fully three-dimensional environment with more expansive maps.
