Outfit is a World War II game that, unlike many other games in the genre, focuses almost exclusively on destruction. While you'll usually have to take a tactical approach to the game, you'll be on foot, earning points called "field units" that can be used to purchase equipment, such as tanks and gun turrets, to destroy Axis soldiers. You can simply buy equipment by using the Y button on the controller in conjunction with the left thumb button to select the item you want to buy. Game developers therefore refer to The Outfit as "destruction on demand". The equipment you purchase from the field units will initially be manned by AI-controlled soldiers, but you can substitute whoever is using the equipment to get some destruction. With a fully destructible environment, almost everything in the Outfit can be blown up.
