Rise of the Tomb Raider is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. The game was originally released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November 2015 as a limited-time exclusive before later making its way to other platforms. Rise of the Tomb Raider is the sequel to 2013's Tomb Raider and follows the continuing story of Lara Croft on her journey to become a legendary adventurer.

The game takes place in several locations around the world, including Siberia and Syria, and combines exploration with combat, puzzle solving and item collecting. Players take on the role of Lara Croft as she tries to uncover the secret of immortality from a militant organization known as Trinity. During her adventure, Lara must overcome not only hostile forces, but also the pitfalls of a harsh and inhospitable environment.
