In XIII, players take on the role of a man known as XIII who suffers from amnesia. The game offers a solo campaign full of twists and turns. The player wakes up on a deserted beach on the East Coast, wounded and with no memories. The only clues to his identity are a tattoo of the number XIII on his collarbone and a locker key. Although he remembers nothing, he discovers that he has the reflexes of a highly trained warrior. He embarks on a journey to find his past and discovers that he played a role in the assassination of the President of the United States, gradually uncovering the greatest conspiracy in the history of the country.
