Product detailed description

PS1 Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is a platform game that was released in 1997 for the PlayStation 1 game console. It was developed by Oddworld Inhabitants and published by GT Interactive.

The game is set in a world called "Oddworld" and the player controls a character named Abe, Mudokon, who is a slave in a huge meat factory called RuptureFarms. Abe discovers that the factory's plans involve killing all Mudokon and making a new meat product from them, so he decides to escape and save his comrades.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is known for its unique gameplay mechanics, which include Abe's ability to "control" other characters using a special "Gamespeak" language, as well as for its complex and tactical gameplay, which often requires players to carefully plan their moves and solve puzzles.

The game is also known for its dark and strange art style, which combines elements of science fiction and fantasy with dark humor. At the same time, the game has impressed with its approach to social and environmental issues, which were relatively uncommon themes in video games in the 1990s.

Graphically, the game is 2D and uses "pre-rendered" background technology, which means that the background was pre-made and inserted into the game as a static image. The characters and objects in the foreground are animated using "rotoscoping" technology, meaning they were made based on the actual movement of people or objects.
