Terminator: Dawn of Fate is a third-person action game released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2002. The game was developed by Paradigm Entertainment and published by Infogrames (now known as Atari). This game is set in the Terminator universe and serves as a prequel to the 1984 Terminator movie.

Terminator: Dawn of Fate focuses on the events before the movie, when humanity is still fighting against the machines controlled by the artificial intelligence Skynet. Players take on the roles of three different characters - Kyle Reese, Catherine Luna and Justin Perry - who are members of the Resistance, led by John Connor.

The players' main task is to gain control of the machines and prevent Skynet from sending the Terminator back to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, John Connor's mother. The game combines a shooter with elements of action-adventure and hand-to-hand combat. Players will face various enemies such as T-800 machines, different types of aircraft and other Terminator prototypes.

Terminator: Dawn of Fate on PS2 features linear levels that take players through different environments such as military bases, underground bunkers and post-apocalyptic urban areas. The game features a variety of weapons that can be found or upgraded, helping players better handle encounters with enemy units.
