PS2 Driver: Parallel Lines
Code: 8531/BEZProduct detailed description
Driver: Parallel Lines is the fourth game in the Driver series for PlayStation 2, following the story of TK. In 1978, TK (then an 18-year-old for-hire driver fresh out of high school) was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, and is released from prison in 2006. Now, thanks to his driving skills, he's trying to get revenge on the police department for having to serve time for something someone else should have gone to prison for!
Unlike Driv3r, Driver: Parallel Lines takes place mostly behind the wheel, returning to the formula that made the first game a classic. However, the game still has an open GTA-style design and you can still get out of your vehicle to get in on the pedestrian action. However, there's no reason to get out of the vehicle unless it's damaged and you can't drive it any further, as almost all of the missions in the game involve chases with police cars. In this case, you can either go to a repair shop and get your vehicle fixed, or simply steal someone else's vehicle! In the meantime, you can pummel police officers with your fists and steal their guns when they're dead so you can use them for foot combat in the future.
The game is set in both 1978 (before TK went to prison) and 2006. The 2006 environment has a much more modern soundtrack than the 1978 environment, which has a mostly disco soundtrack. The 2006 environment of course has today's architecture, technology and cars.
