Richard Burns Rally for PS2 is a racing game from Warthog featuring WRC champion Richard Burns.
It was released in July 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Microsoft Windows. Although reviews have been mixed, the game has been highly praised by gamers due to its complex physical model and realistic controls and car behaviour.
The game features 8 cars and 36 tracks. It simulates both classic and modern racing and is known for its high difficulty and realistic physics model.
This game is considered by many players as one of the most realistic and difficult racing simulators. Richard Burns Rally did not initially come with official support for user-generated content, but there are still mods available due to the large online community. The game was originally an offline racing game, but user-created modes made online play possible. A sequel to the game is unlikely due to the death of Richard Burns in 2005. Additionally, after the PC release, Warthog was sold to Gizmond, who went bankrupt in 2006.
