Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is an action role-playing game developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Entertainment. The game was released in 2004 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It is the sequel to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance from 2001 and is set in the world of Forgotten Realms, the popular fantasy setting of the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons.

Players can immerse themselves in an adventure in which they have a choice of five characters - a human necromancer, an elven swordsman, a dwarven lieutenant, a drow (dark elf), and a halfling berserker. Each character has unique abilities and skills that players can develop and improve throughout the game.

The game is based on cooperative play for two players, although it can also be played alone. Players explore the vast world, complete various quests, fight enemies and collect experience and treasures that help them improve their characters and gain new abilities.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II offers improved graphics, new enemies, new weapons and a longer story than the first game. The game also includes a new weapon and armor creation system that allows players to create and customize their own equipment, giving them more control over their characters and their abilities.
