Action RPG Summoner takes you to the kingdom of Medeva.

A boy named Joseph lived peacefully in his village of Ciran, but one day he was given a magical ring by a mysterious man that allowed him to summon demons. When the village was attacked by bandits, Joseph used the ring, but he couldn't control the summoned demon and it ravaged all of Ciran. To avoid facing the wrath of the other villagers, Joseph moved away and vowed never to use the ring again, but he could not destroy it. As Joseph grows into a young man, history repeats itself, and soldiers from the kingdom of Orenia raid his village, looking for the man with the mark of the summoner (the summoner in the original title of the play). With the help of his newly acquired comrades, Joseph escapes and decides to stop the Emperor of Orenia, whose plans threaten the entire empire.

To succeed, however, he will have to learn how to control his ring... The gameplay style of Summoner is an action RPG in which Joseph and his friends fight opponents, complete various quests, find better equipment, and advance through levels to improve their skills. You control one character at a time in battles, but you can switch between them, with the AI taking care of the rest of the group. An important duelling element is the ability to chain your actions, whether attacks or spells, into a so-called combo, which you achieve with a well-timed button press. Longer combos then require quicker reactions, but offer overwhelming power with which to turn your enemies. True to the game's name, Joseph will learn to master the power of his ring and summon demonic helpers under his control throughout the game.
