Downhill Domination for PS2 is a sports, racing video game.

There are three options available in the main menu, single player, multiplayer and an options menu that allows players to adjust gameplay elements such as difficulty and view unlocked items they have achieved during the game.

Initially, the player is introduced to six fictional racers at the top of a mountain once the single player mode is selected in the main game menu. In addition to the two other fictional racers, players can also unlock professional racers like in real life, these are Eric Carter and Tara Llanes, when specific tournaments are completed during the game.
