Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was created by the developers at Sledgehammer Games (co-creators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3) and their brief was clear from the start: to take the popular FPS franchise to the next-gen. The title took about three years of hard work, but the result is amazing. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare presents a future battlefield where technology and tactics have evolved to usher in a new era of warfare. As a result, the game is even more atmospheric than ever before, plus actor Kevin Spacey has lent his voice and face to the main villain character.

The story is set in a future where technological advances and military practice have converged to fill a hole in the economic marketplace. No longer are governments playing the role of the military to defend their interests in the world. It is now corporations (officially Private Military Corporations) that can use their considerable resources to fund seasoned mercenaries and former military specialists. Moreover, they no longer have to hide, but have received an official mandate from the UN. This fact not only rewrites the boundaries of the maps, but also changes the rules of war.
