Rage 2 is a first-person shooter (FPS) action game developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was released in May 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Rage 2 is set in an open-world post-apocalyptic world that is destroyed by an asteroid impact. The game's story takes place 30 years after the events of the original 2011 Rage game. Players take on the role of Walker, the last Ranger of Vineland, who battles various gangs and mutants in a race to obtain a weapon called the EcoPod.

The open world of Rage 2 offers a wide variety of activities, bowls and side quests that players can complete at their own pace. The game combines first-person shooter elements with vehicle-based combat. Players can upgrade their abilities, weapons and vehicles throughout the game.

Rage 2 also includes special abilities called Nanotrite that allow players to, for example, high jump, run fast or use special strikes. The game's emphasis on fast-paced, chaotic combat is inspired by id Software's classic shooters.
