During the campaign, he uncovers his past and becomes more deeply entangled in a web of government intrigue. After a criticized release in 2020, the game underwent extensive repairs that improved its technical performance, stability, and visual style. The improved version for PS5 runs more smoothly, has removed most technical bugs, and offers better gameplay. Nevertheless, the experience remains rather nostalgic – the shooting is simple, the enemy AI is often illogical, and the levels feel a bit empty. The remake will mainly appeal to fans of the original, who will appreciate the return of the classic story in a more modern guise, even if the gameplay doesn't quite reach the standards of current action titles.
