Metro Exodus is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter for Xbox One that combines brutal combat and stealth with exploration and survival in one of gaming's most epic worlds. Developed by 4A Games, the game is the third installment in the Metro series and boldly ventures from the claustrophobic tunnels of the Moscow Metro into the wild and inhospitable Russian wilderness. Set in the year 2036, two years after the events of Metro: Last Light, it follows the story of Artem and a group of Spartan Rangers on their perilous journey east across Russia in an attempt to find a new life outside the wastelands of Moscow.

Metro Exodus features open worlds combined with linear arcades, giving players a variety of environments to explore, from frozen wastelands to devastated industrial complexes to flooded ruins. Along the way, Artem and his comrades encounter various factions and mutated creatures that affect post-nuclear disaster Russia. The game emphasizes story, post-apocalyptic atmosphere and a tactical approach to combat where every bullet counts and where the player must manage limited resources to survive.
