The Golden Compass is an action-adventure video game based on the first volume of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, The Northern Needle, and the 2007 film of the same name. The game was developed by Shiny Entertainment and released by Sega in December 2007 for various platforms including PlayStation 2 (PS2).

The game follows the story of a young girl named Lyra Belacqua and her demon Pantalaimon, who embark on a dangerous adventure to rescue their kidnapped friend and unravel the mystery of a mysterious phenomenon called Dust.
