In Crysis 3, you'll return to New York City as "The Prophet" to discover that the entire city has been encased in a nanotube created by the criminal organization Cell Corporation. The "Freedom Dome" of New York City is actually a rainforest in the streets of the former big city, now teeming with overhanging trees, impenetrable swamps and wild rivers. Inside the "Dome of Liberty" are seven distinctive environments full of pitfalls known as the "Seven Wonders".

This dangerous new world demands new advanced weapons and tactics of warfare. The Prophet will now use a deadly composite bow, an enhanced nano-suit and devastating alien technology to become the planet's most feared hunter.

In the year 2047, the Prophet embarks on a retaliatory mission to discover the Cell Corporation's true motives for building quarantine nanoclusters. The citizens are told that these gigantic structures have been erected over entire urban areas to protect them and to cleanse the metropolises of the remnants of the Ceph forces.

In reality, the nanotubes are part of a secret plan by the Cell Corporation to acquire territory and technology to take over the world. With alien Cephs lurking around every corner and human enemies constantly attacking, nowhere is safe. For Prophet, however, every one of them is a target on his quest for revenge.
