Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for Xbox 360 is a third-person action adventure game that returns to the roots of the classic series. The player takes on the role of the Prince, who visits the kingdom of his brother Malik. After an ancient army is accidentally unleashed from the sands, the world is plunged into chaos, and the Prince must use his acrobatic skills, combat abilities and newly acquired magical powers to stop the threat and save the empire. The game environment is rich in elaborate platforming sequences, puzzle solving and dynamic combat with dozens of enemies.

The game combines traditional elements of the series, such as running on walls, jumping over chasms and manipulating time, and adds new abilities such as freezing water and slowing down events. The graphics take full advantage of the Xbox 360's potential, offering spectacular palace scenery, epic battles and fluid animations of the main character. The Forgotten Sands fits in between the events of The Sands of Time and Warrior Within, bringing fans another chapter in the Prince's journey towards his destiny and responsibility.
